The local Al-Anon phone number has been listed in the new 211 services. This call service provides information and advises people about the most appropriate service or program available at any time of day. They are certified information and service referral specialists.
Two of the ladies participated at the parent teacher open house at a local high school. A display table was set up with pamphlets and literature.

A member gave the information about professionals writing for the next Al-Anon Faces Alcoholism to her family doctor. He seemed quite interested.
Pamphlets and contact information were given to the Bereavement Counsellor at a local funeral home. The counsellor said that she often counsels people who are dealing with alcoholism along with the loss of a loved one.

A busy month as 24 acts were done this month. Advertisements in the local papers, pamphlets and letters to variouse professionals, and packages of all Al-Anon and Alateen items sent to organizations in Aurora.
